How It Works

When you arrive, our experienced stylists will help you choose the right earring based on your ear anatomy, personal style and budget. Whether you are selecting a single piece for your new piercing or creating an entirely new look, our dedicated team will help you find the perfect piece from our extensive collection.

Once you have made your selection, the earring will be thoroughly cleaned and sterilised using ultrasonic and autoclave equipment, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene.

You may choose to have a numbing cream applied to your ear while you relax and enjoy our boutique. Treat yourself to a coffee at our coffee bar, or simply sit back and start planning your next piercing.

After approximately 20 minutes, our piercer will work with you to determine the precise placement of your new piercing. Before you know it, you will be ready to book your next session and leave with your new Myjools look.

Following your piercing, you will receive complete aftercare instructions and a telephone number to contact with any further questions or concerns.

We are open Sunday to Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Piercing FAQs

Does piercing hurt?

Most piercings feel like a quick pinch lasting just a second or two. Most of our clients tell us, “That was much easier than I expected” or “It didn’t hurt at all.” You can feel confident that you are in the best possible hands.

What do minors need to bring before having a piercing?

We define minors as anyone under the age of 16. Every minor must bring photographic identification and written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

How is the piercing performed?

All our piercings are performed using sterile, single-use surgical needles. The needles are extremely sharp, making the piercing process quick, precise and as comfortable as possible. All equipment is opened in front of the client and disposed of immediately after use.

Should I use alcohol to clean my piercing?

Do not use alcohol to clean your piercing. Alcohol is not suitable for use inside a piercing wound and may irritate the area and interfere with the healing process.

Should I rotate the jewellery during the healing process?

Contrary to popular belief, it is best to leave the jewellery in place while the piercing heals. Excessive movement may damage newly formed tissue and delay the healing process.

Which areas of the ear can be pierced?

Piercings can be performed on different areas of the ear. During your consultation, we will assess your ear anatomy and determine whether it is suitable for your preferred piercing placement.

How will I know which earrings are right for my ear?

When you visit us for your piercing, we will select the correct hoop diameter or post length to suit your individual ear anatomy. We offer earrings and hoops in a variety of sizes to accommodate different ear shapes and piercing placements.

How long should I wait before changing my piercing jewellery?

Lobe piercings generally take approximately three to four months to heal completely. Cartilage piercings may take up to a year, depending on your individual healing process. We recommend that you do not change your initial piercing jewellery without consulting us first.

Should I remove my earrings before swimming or exercising?

Our pieces are designed with the understanding that you do not have time to remove them every day. We use high-quality materials so that you can wear them in the pool, at the gym or in the shower.

Please note: Changes or cancellations to piercing appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. For cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment, the deposit will be forfeited and cannot be applied to future purchases.
